The Energy and Resources Institute

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), (India) is an autonomous, non-profit research institute that has contributed significantly to both scientific and policy research pertaining to energy, environment, biotechnology, forestry and a whole range of sustainable development issues. Their activities can be classified into the five major areas of Energy-Environment Technology; Policy Analysis; Information Technology and Services; Regulatory Studies and Governance; Bio-resources and Biotechnology. They have been actively involved in many waste management projects with special mention of e waste, Municipal waste, plastic municipal bodies of Delhi, Kanpur, Bangalore, Darjeeling, Thirikkurungudi, etc.
